Having a public social media account is pretty much a "must" for celebrities nowadays.

From debuting a music video or movie to sharing about one's daily life in general, social media is the platform for stars to announce the latest news to their followers.

While a handful of celebs may enjoy sharing their every move, Hong Kong artiste Jacky Cheung doesn't share the same sentiment.

In a recent interview, Cheung revealed that he was worried fans would expect him to post updates constantly if he were to join social media.

"Aside from not understanding how to use it (social media), I'm fearful too. I'm afraid that once I open an account, it will become a responsibility.

"You have to find content every day, do things (to entertain fans) and post frequently. I find myself to be a boring person, so how am I supposed to find content to post each day?" he said.

The 61-year-old Heavenly King also shared that social media isn't "suited for him" as there are no changes to his daily schedule.

"My daily routine is the same. People may get bored (if I post the same thing every day). It's not that I don't want to open one, it's more that I'm not cut out for it," he elaborated.

Although Cheung doesn't seem like he will be opening a public social media anytime soon, he did mention about trying out certain social media apps to contact his two daughters – Zoe, 22, and Zia, 17.

"To stay in touch with them, I'll still log in but that's it. The name and functions of the app don't matter to me because at the end of the day, it's about the same as me making a call or sending a text message.

"Those are the only functions I use. To me, social media is just a tool for communication," he concluded.
