An infant child born just few weeks back was suffering from severe necrotizing fasciitis. Necrotizing fasciitis is a serious infection of the skin, the tissue just beneath the skin (subcutaneous tissue), and the tissue that covers internal organs (fascia). Necrotizing fasciitis can be caused by several different types of bacteria, and the infection can arise suddenly and spread quickly. Treatment is antibiotics and surgery. 
 
It was a very severe form of infection. The baby was bought to Sneh Child Clinic.

Despite of its high mortality - upto 50%, Early diagnosis & accurate treatment saved the life of child.
