When it comes to quality cars, it doesn't get much better than Audi. Over the years, they've established themselves as one of the best manufacturers in the world and sold over 186,000 cars in 2022.

They have a selection of models available, so there's something for everyone. One of the most exciting new models is the 2024 Audi Q7, and it has plenty to offer. If you're looking for a new car, then this is one you should definitely check out.

In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know about this all-new model so you can decide if it's the right car for you. Keep reading for more.

Overview

The 2024 Q7 is a luxurious family SUV that's similar to the A6 but bigger and (arguably) better. It has three rows of seats yet drives like a sports sedan.

There are several trims available to suit different drivers, and they all come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The more powerful V-6 version is also capable of towing up to 7,000 lbs.

The interior offers plenty of luxury along with a range of infotainment and comfort features. It competes well with the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, and Mercedes-Benz GLE.

What's New for 2024?

The 2024 Audi Q7 SUV comes with adaptive cruise control as is the standard for Audi's latest models. It also has a new remote start feature you access through your smartphone rather than the key fob.

If you opt for the Executive package on one of the Premium Plus trims, you'll get the traffic sign recognition feature. These trims also include a customizable ambient interior lighting system.

The top-end trim (Prestige 55) has an optional S Line Sport package which provides a sportier appearance on both the exterior and interior. It also includes a rear-wheel steering system and adaptive air suspension.

Models and Pricing

The 2024 Audi Q7 price varies across the five available trims depending on what they offer. They're priced as follows:

  • Premium 45: $60,695
  • Premium Plus 45: $64,495
  • Premium 55: $66,495
  • Premium Plus 55: $66,495
  • Prestige 55: $76,295

The 45's turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be plenty for most people, but you can go for the 55 if you want a bit more power. Opting for a Premium Plus trim means you'll get plenty of nice add-ons such as power folding exterior mirrors, 20-inch wheels, a surround sound stereo system, and a wireless phone charging pad.

With the Executive package, you'll get even more. This comes with four-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, and all-weather floor mats. With the Prestige, you can get the S Line Sport package, HD Matrix-style LED headlamps, Audi's Dinamica headliner, and more.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The 2024 Audi Q7 specs are very impressive, with the cheapest model boasting a 261-hp engine and a 12-volt hybrid system. If that's not enough for you, you can opt for the turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 with a 48-volt hybrid system to get up to 335 horsepower.

The Q7 is very smooth for its size. You can choose the optional performance tires for improved handling. Other options include adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering which can make this SUV incredibly fun to drive.

Fuel Economy

The V-6 model is rated at 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined. If efficiency is a key factor for you, you might want to go with the four-cylinder model. This has ratings of 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

All 2024 Audi Q7 options sport sleek interiors. They implement a minimalist, contemporary design, and there's no shortage of technology and comfort. The quality materials and modern design make the interior very enjoyable.

The entry-level Premium trims feel luxurious and well-laid out. Things only get better with the higher-level trims.

As a three-row luxury SUV, there isn't a huge amount of cargo space while all of the seats are up. However, the power controls make it easy to raise and lower the rear row, giving you a lot more space to work with. A Q7 with all the seats stowed has more than enough cargo space for most people.

Infotainment and Connectivity

You'll get a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with any Q7 model along with an 8.6-inch touchscreen below it specifically for climate control and vehicle settings. For most, this system will work great, but if you're not a fan of touchscreens in cars, it might take some getting used to.

All Q7 models feature Audi's Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display, 4G LTE WiFi, and Android Auto Integration/Apple CarPlay. The audio system is developed by Bang & Olufsen and has 23 speakers, so any audiophiles will have a great time.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Safety is one of the most important aspects of any car, and Audi isn't cutting any corners here. All models come with automated emergency braking and forward-collision warning as standard. They also include lane-keeping assistance and lane departure warnings.

The adaptive cruise control has a lane-centering feature to improve this. There are several other optional driver-assistance features you can go for if you want to make your new Q7 even safer.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Audi is well known for build quality, so it's unlikely you'll be hit by any unexpected issues. With that being said, it's always a possibility, so it's nice to know you have a solid warranty in place.

You'll get a limited warranty and a powertrain warranty that both cover 4 years or 50,000 miles. It's worth bearing in mind, however, that there's no complimentary scheduled maintenance included, so this is something you'll need to organize yourself. This warranty coverage is comparable to similar vehicles on the market.

Is the 2024 Audi Q7 Right for You?

The 2024 Audi Q7 is certainly an impressive vehicle, regardless of which trim you're looking at. It offers power, comfort, and luxury, and there's no shortage of features that will keep any driver happy.
