Jacky Cheung dismisses bankruptcy rumour
23 Dec - Jacky Cheung has recently dismissed rumours that he allegedly has been having financial issues that are leading to bankruptcy.
As reported on Mingpao, the God of Songs addressed the ongoing rumour during the press conference for the audio and video release of his "A Classic Tour" concert series, saying that it was just a big misunderstanding as he hasn't done a lot of projects since the pandemic.
"No need to worry," said the frugal singer. "I have a habit of saving money. I am doing fine right now."
As for his lack of projects, Jacky said that he is the kind of person who goes back and forth with his thoughts.
"We would discuss on arranging some jobs, but then I would feel it unsuitable for me," he said.
However, the singer stated that he has plans to star in a new movie, which will begin filming in Hong Kong in the first half of 2022.
"It's been too long [since I starred in a movie]. Part of the reason is because I want to shoot a movie again, and partly as a favour," he said.
