Supreme Commander
Resolution Comparison
Supreme Commander is a CPU-limited game, so we expect the benchmark results of all cards to be closer than what we have seen in the other benchmarks. The NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT just barely made it across the 30 fps line at the lowest resolution of 1024 x 768. The GeForce 8600 GT was generally about 21-25% faster than the GeForce 7600 GT.
There were no results for the ATI Radeon X1950 GT because Supreme Commander would not load, alleging they did not meet its minimum requirements.
Anti-Aliasing Comparison
Enabling 2x AA reduced the NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT's frame rate by 7%, with a further drop of 5% when 4x AA was enabled. Although the GeForce 8600 GT supported 8xQ AA, it came at a cost - reducing the frame rate to just 11 fps.
Incidentally, the super-low benchmark result of the GeForce 8600 GTS at 8xQ AA is not a mistake. Retests of the card kept yielding the same, abnormally low result.
