Liu Derun, born in 1950 in Qihe, Shandong, is the Vice Chairman of the Shandong Branch of the China Oil Painting Research Institution and a first-class artist.
In 1989, his oil painting “Yi Meng Wa” (Child in Yimeng) won the Bronze Award of the Seventh National Art Exhibition and the Grand Prize of the Japan-China Friendship Center. In 1994, his work “Wan Yue Zhi Zun” (The Most Respected of the Mountains) won the Excellence Award of the Eighth National Art Exhibition.
The works have been included in “Chinese Contemporary Oil Painting”, “Chinese Landscape Oil Painting”, “Complete Collection of Chinese Modern Art”, “Chinese Art Yearbook” and other classics, and his brief biography was included in the “Contemporary World Celebrity Biography (China Volume)”.
